1. PRESSURE TEST THE MACHINE
A. Place bag and circuit on machine with pop off closed
B. Occlude circuit with finger and fill bag using O2 flush
C. Take pressure to 25 cm. of water or until bag is full
D. Pressure should hold in machine
E. Set flow meter at 200cc. If pressure does not hold, check for leaks
2. COMMON PLACES TO FIND LEAKS
A. Inhalation & Exhalation Valves
B. Gaskets on sodasorb container
C. Fresh gas line leading to absorber
D. Pop off or negative pressure valve
E. Inlet/outlet ports on vaporizers
F. Breathing bag or cracked hoses
3. GENERAL MAINTENANCE
A. Sodasorb or Baralyme should be changed every 14-15 hours
DO NOT WAIT ON COLOR CHANGE
B. F/Air Canisters only last 12 hours
C. Check bags and hoses on a regular basis
D. Check oxygen flush, must move freely
E. Check pop off valve for sticking
F. Check inhalation/exhalation valves must seal properly
